There are two key elements to Stage 4 of the 109th Tour de France. One is the wind. It should come on Tuesday from the north-west and thus on the last 20 of the 171.5 kilometers from Dunkirk to Calais from the side.

If there were no dreaded wind edges in Denmark, they could be there when the tour returns home. And then there is the Cote du Cap Blanc-Nez. A small climb a good ten kilometers before the finish, which could become a problem for the heavy sprinters. Breakaways will look for their chances, as will teams with hilly sprinters like Peter Sagan or Wout van Aert. The finale should be dynamic anyway.
