Ex-Bayern striker is missing in the Champions League squad

In summer, Tottenham Hotspur paid 35 million euros to buy Mathys Tel Fest from FC Bayern. However, it is not planned for the Champions League.
Breaks for Mathys Tel: The French striker of Tottenham Hotspur will not be used in the Ligapse of the Champions League. The 20-year-old was not appointed to the 23-man squad for the premier class by coach Thomas Frank, so it has to be watched by the stands internationally.
Tel was borrowed from Bavaria to Tottenham in February 2025 for six months. In July, the “Spurs” then committed him for 35 million euros. Nevertheless, Tel under coach Frank for the time being plays a subordinate role and only came to three short missions in the current season.
Tel, however, still has a little hope for Champions League football. Before the co-phase in early 2026, the clubs can make a few changes. So if Tottenham qualify for the intermediate round or even directly for the round of 16, Tel could still be nominated.
