There’s a new billionaire who is casually wandering around the gilded world of Formula 1. It was well known that he was one of the paddock’s ducks, but perhaps few imagined that Toto Wolff had in the meantime paid off the entrance ticket to the exclusive club of personalities with a net worth in excess of a billion dollars. This was revealed by the authoritative US magazine Forbes, who explained how the Mercedes F1 boss recently crossed the threshold alongside other celebrated sportsmen, including golf champion Tiger Woods and basketball legend LeBron James. A figure that further certifies the success of the Austrian manager, who in just a few years went from a career as a driver with no future in the youth categories and in GT racing to climbing the Olympus of GPs as the richest and most successful team principal ever.
