Sterk previously worked for Hugo Boss and Only For Men, among others. Together with financial director Robert Vos, he will be in charge of the day-to-day management of vanHaren.
The chain is part of the German Deichmann group. That parent company claims to be the market leader in European shoe retailing and is active in 31 countries worldwide. With more than 42,400 employees, it operates almost 4,300 stores.
VanHaren has been present in Belgium since 2017 with sixteen stores. Last year, vanHaren took over 38 former Brantano stores in Flanders. At the end of March 2021, 370 employees worked in the 54 vanHaren stores in our country.
