The only music list where Queen and Coldplay go hand in hand with Guus and Gerard. That is the Top 900, the annual list of songs compiled by the public. The polls is open again! Participate and also fill in a list.
It is now a true tradition. Just after the summer holidays we will again look for the most beautiful songs for our list at Omroep Brabant. This year we are celebrating an anniversary: it is the 15th. To celebrate that, we kick off the party with ‘the Top 900 kick -off show’. DJ Ronny Balk: “Until midnight you only hear music from the lists that flow in for 15 hours. And do you know what is so nice? 15 hours is 900 minutes!”
Guus again at 1?
In all previous editions, Guus Meeuwis was the undisputed number 1 with ‘Brabant’. Whether this year is again, the audience determines. Brabanders often vote with a touch of Brabant pride and that makes the list unique. Ronny Balk: “Our list contains all the classics from pop history but also our local heroes from Brabant. They don’t have that in Hilversum!”
Next week there will be plenty of attention for the Top 900. For example, the DJs cycle through the whole of Brabant to persuade everyone to vote. The tour starts at the studio in Son and goes to Bergen op Zoom and back. Everything can be followed live all day.
Until Friday night vote
The polls will close on Friday 5 September at 11.59 p.m. Among all participants we will raffle 9 x 100 euros concert credit.
The Top 900 itself will be broadcast from 12 to 19 September.
