To be honest, I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t completely convinced by the squad. So if Michael were the nicest person in the world and the content was completely convincing. But the team where I said I had a bit of a stomach ache, one or two bratwursts were too much for me, then I wouldn’t have done it. But I am completely convinced of the squad. I already have a few wrinkles and gray hairs. At 37, a bit early. I don’t see that we have less quality than Bayern, you might see. I don’t see it that way, I don’t see myself in any position in the whole club, less us. Set up by quality.
It sounds like you’re playing for the championship.
No, not that. Again, it’s your interpretation. But why should I now say who has less quality than Bayern Munich? I will be here for a large part of the week. And now that I’ve seen the days, when will I get out of here? Makes no sense at all to drive to Munich. And I actually already have one or two points in Flensburg. That’s why I don’t want to go on the highway as often anymore. If you get hit three times in a week, I thought what the boys did was good. But of course very sad that we couldn’t win the game.
Now the structure is changing, both in terms of personnel and tactics, and it’s not enough against the second division team again. Thanks.
So how unsettled I am. I hope I don’t mean to be arrogant, but I’m totally confident in our players. And if I weren’t, I think I would be more insecure. Possibly. But I have no insecurity.
