Inside the apartment complex on Picassolaan in Alkmaar, the members of Bluikruk are still busy with the preparations. Together with director Belle, players Romijn, Tijn, Bram and Thor pass the entire performance again to put the dots on the i.

A short break between two sentences, an extra word at the right time – months of intensive preparation come together in this last rehearsal.

‘Living in the broadest sense of the word’

On the basis of life, blueprint opts for an urgent and socially charged subject: the home crisis. “For us it is very much about living in the broadest sense of the word,” says Tijn.

“There is much to do about the connection with a piece of land. That plays in the home crisis here. But also in worries about immigrants and border conflicts such as in Gaza and Ukraine, where it is all about who the country is.”

And that is what life is about: From whom is which piece of land? The penetration of a ‘stranger’ ensures a family trembling with a fatal outcome. “This performance symbolizes things that are going on in the world,” said Tijn.
