Tom Waits is said to have started writing music again

Previously, the 73-year-old was only “distracted by the film world,” says manager Paul Charles.

Tom Waits’ longtime Irish music agent Paul Charles has published his memoirs. Among other things, he shares the news that Tom Waits is back writing new music.

In the work, Charles recalls Waits’ last performance in Dublin in 2008, which took place in the Rat Cellar, according to The Irish Examiner. The author writes about it: “We all hope he goes on tour again. After completing the three evenings in the Rat Cellar, he went home. He really enjoyed the tour and the idea was to start writing. He did a few shots, and then he got distracted by the film world for a while. The news is that he has started writing again. We’ll all keep our fingers crossed for him to return again.”

Charles’ book “Adventures in Wonderland” is also about the time he worked with artists such as the Beatles, the Kinks, Robert Plant, Van Morrison, the Rolling Stones, The Police, U2 and Co., as well as his 30th birthday years participation in the Glastonbury Festival.
