“To all who are concerned, I traveled from Britain to Hungary last night and woke up today with a sore throat,” Sir Tom said in the message. “Today a specialist visited and prescribed medicines and voice rest. I have not collapsed at any point, that is pure speculation. Hopefully the inflammation will go down soon as I look forward to continuing my wonderful summer tour.”
The 82-year-old will visit about fifty cities with his European Surrounded tour. Last week Jones performed in the Netherlands, in the Ziggo Dome.
