No matter how many prizes and awards a Hollywood actor has already won – nobody is immune to a “Golden Raspberry”. The worst films and acting performances are honored every year with the Negative Prize. On Saturday, March 11th, this year’s “Golden Raspberry” winners were announced – and among them is Tom Hanks, who has to take two of the negative awards for his performance in the biopic “Elvis”.

In the “Worst Supporting Actor” category, the 66-year-old prevailed against Pete Davidson, Mod Sun, Evan Williams and Xavier Samuel and won the so-called “Razzie” for his role as Colonel Tom Parker in “Elvis”. Hanks also took home the Worst Screen Couple category, in regards to himself “and his latex-laden face (and his ridiculous accent)”. Tom Hanks joins a small group of actors who have won both an Oscar and a Golden Raspberry Award, including Eddie Redmayne, Halle Berry, Jared Leto and Nicole Kidman.

Alongside Tom Hanks, Jared Leto also took home the Worst Actor award for his role in Morbius, the Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde won the Worst Movie award, and Machine Gun Kelly took home the Worst Director award ‘ for his film ‘Good Mourning With AU’.

The Razzies themselves faced criticism this year when they nominated 12-year-old Ryan Kiera Armstrong for Worst Actress. After the shitstorm that this decision triggered, the jury for the “Golden Raspberry” publicly apologized, withdrew the nomination and introduced the new rule that future nominees must be over 18 years old. They also distinguished themselves in the “Worst Leading Actress” category.
