Opinions differ around the world about the existence of extraterrestrials. Countless conspiracy theories are circulating on this topic: UFOs have already been sighted, and aliens have been held captive in the notorious Area 51 for years. What is nonsense for many is rubbish for others. It’s no secret that Blink-182 musician Tom DeLonge is convinced of the existence of aliens. Most recently he caused a stir with a strange incident at a wedding.

It is well known that DeLonge makes no secret of his fascination with the extraterrestrial in his private life. Another funny incident occurred at the wedding of Nine Inch Nails and Foo Fighters drummer Ilan Rubin. He recently reported on the “Go with Elmo Lovano” podcast that DeLonge is said to have shown Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor a photo of a dead alien.
The drummer described the anecdote this way: “We finally get to the reception, and the first two people I see are Tom and Trent. Tom’s a really big guy, and he’s just standing over Trent. His phone is out, and I know how this goes. ‘Hey, look at this!’ And I think to myself: What is he going to show him now? I walk right up to them and say, ‘Hey guys, how’s it going?’ Tom says, ‘Dude! Congratulations! See you later, I’ll get something to drink!’ I ask, ‘Trent, what’s wrong?’ He says, ‘That guy just showed me a dead alien.'”
As quickly as the smile-inducing situation arose, it was over again and the celebrations began.

His fascination with extraterrestrials has caused one or two oddities in recent years. In 2017, he founded an academy dedicated to alien research. Their mission is to “educate people about the existence of UFOs.” In 2023, Tom DeLonge attracted attention again: When the US Congress announced that it would hold a hearing on UFOs for the first time, the 50-year-old shouted during a show: “I was right about the UFOs, f**k you!”
