A tragedy occurred in a residential building on Mittelstrasse in Alt-Hohenschönhausen early on Saturday evening.

Around 6:40 p.m., a 2-year-old toddler is said to have fallen from the eighth floor of the apartment building. The police and ambulance quickly arrived. The circumstances of the accident are not yet known.

According to BZ information, the child had to be resuscitated, which was also successful.

Meanwhile, the intensive care transport helicopter (ITH) landed at the sports forum near the scene of the accident. The toddler was flown to a clinic by helicopter.

The police have launched an investigation into the tragic accident.
