TM database: Oberliga-Nord seasons from 1959 to 1962 complete

…better and better!

The TM database has been enriched by further milestones: the 1959/60, 1960/61 and 1961/62 seasons of the Oberliga Nord (’47-’63) can now be called up in full. In all three seasons, Hamburger SV Norddeutscher Meister and SV Werder Bremen finished second. In 1959/60, Hamburg also secured the title of all-German champion after Uwe Seeler’s team defeated 1. FC Köln 3-2 in the final.

Oberliga Nord 1959 to 1962: Uwe Seeler top scorer three times

The club legend of the “Red Pants” was top scorer in all three Oberliga seasons, but in the 61/62 season he shared this title with Gerd Koll from Holstein Kiel. In the 59/60 season, Seeler scored 36 goals, in 1960/61 he scored 29 and in 1961/62 28 goals.
