(toskanews) — I Tiromancino announce their return with When I least expect ittheir 14th studio album, led by the first single January 2016 and from the song I’m from Goda tribute to the blues and freedom.
«The characteristic of this album is precisely freedom. After so many records, after so many years in music, at a certain point I wanted to make this record totally, so to speak, for myself, closing myself in the studio with some friends, experimenting, recording without a specific objective, but to tell and play things that I liked to play, that I would have liked to hear».
In this job Federico Zampaglione he drew on blues, country, folk and electronic sounds, mixing them with songwriting. In his songs there is a criticism of an increasingly fast and individualistic society, and this also applies to the world of music.
«The field of music is very difficult. From the outside it can sometimes be attractive because it seems like celebrity, fame, success. This is just the outward appearance. When one decides on this profession he must also know that there is another side. It’s a difficult job, where you have no security. Those who start making music for success often find themselves dealing with the other side. You have to love music and never expect who knows what. If you focus on what you have to have, sooner or later the toy will break.”
The Tiromancino frontman feels “alien” and seeks a yearning for freedom in the artistic dimension. «I feel like a person who sometimes doesn’t share a whole series of things that revolve around him. With this album I also tried to talk about these shadows, but found ways out, like that of be truly passionate about something that protects you a little from all the evil that is around». After the release of the album, the group returns to perform live in theaters, with an intimate show that will feature new and old songs rearranged for the occasion.
