Other parties, including the Christian Union, wanted to know where Assen Centraal wants tiny houses, and whether the party could perhaps identify a suitable location elsewhere. The municipality itself says that there is not just another location available within Assen where this experimental housing project can be launched in the short term.
Rengers did not immediately have a good alternative ready, although he eventually pointed to a former garage location right along Europaweg-Noord, next to the Praxis. But that site is in the middle of activity. In addition, a new business premises is being built right next to it.
The other parties think it is a good thing that the pilot with tiny houses is finally being implemented, although they do find the temporary nature to be a problem.
