Tino Martin was indeed sent away in the advertising of Shownieuws: presenter Manuel Venderbos speaks the truth, while his editor -in -chief and the singer lie. That’s what Victor Vlam thinks.
It was tense television: the way Tino Martin was apparently drunk at the desk of Shownieuws a week and a half ago, where he made inappropriate statements about Suzan & Freek, among other things. A few days later, presenter Manuel Venderbos told the AD Media Podcast that the singer was sent away in advertising.
Tino flown
Tino came with a denial. He states that it was always the intention that he would go away in advertising, but it is very strange that show expert Bart Ettekoven then said after the advertisement: “Tino Martin flew, without telling – because he would still do that – about his theater shows, because he does ten extra shows in the fall.”
The editor -in -chief of Shownieuws decided to lose Manuel and indicated that it is always only during the broadcast to be decided whether a guest will remain in place or not. A mistake, says Tina Nijkamp. “I don’t really like that, so I think that’s a mistake of the editor -in -chief of Shownieuws,” she said in her podcast. “Always stand behind your people.”
Drunk?
TV connoisseur Victor Vlam thinks it is a suspicious situation. “The fact that he was gone was remarkable, because the performance before that was disastrous. He just seemed drunk. It actually comes down to that. I don’t know if he was drunk. It could be. At least it seemed to be the case. He spoke very hesitantly and slowly,” he says in The Communicado’s.
“At one point it was about Suzan & Freek and he said quite carelessly:” They don’t have much time together anymore. ” It is a rather blunt way to deal with that news, so it seemed as if he was just drunk there and that is something a long history has, because Tino Martin has regularly appeared drunk on stage. ”
‘ShowTop lies’
Victor points out that Manuel, Tino and the editor -in -chief have different statements. “I looked back very carefully and in the end I came to the conclusion that there can only be one explanation: Manuel’s. That is because it is announced in the beginning that it would be about Tino’s theater shows.”
That is also what Bart Ettekoven was talking about after the advertisement. “It suggests that the decision was only taken during the broadcast and not in advance, otherwise the theater shows were discussed for the break. And the second that it suggests is that he was not sent away because there was nothing to be discussed anymore. Those shows were still on the list.”
Dismissed
Tino was therefore sent away because it was not going well, says Victor. His co-host Lars Duursma: “I find that remarkable, because you would expect that such an editor-in-chief may not tell the whole story, but also cannot lie about the real reason. You wouldn’t expect that. Why doesn’t Shownieuws speak the truth?”
With those entertainment programs, there is a culture to protect stars, (…) because they are dependent on them. If they do not want to cooperate in all kinds of items, then it is a lot harder to fill that broadcast. If they get the reputation are a risk for the reputation of an artist, they are less likely to work with. “
For the bus
Lars thinks that is a plausible explanation. “Yes, so the fear is not so much how Tino Martin will respond when he is thrown in front of the bus. But how all other artists and BN people will respond when they see that Tino Martin is thrown in front of the bus.”
Victor concludes: “I think there are a lot of artists who think of: okay, if Tino Martin is treated like this, well, then I think I will also overlay Shownieuws. And they just have a new format with more guests at the table, so yes, that’s the last thing you can use …”
