Tineke Schouten does not want to use Monique Hansler to inspire a new character. She feels very sorry for the reality star of SBS 6. “I think she is very sad.”
It is currently one of the most hated people in showbiz: Monique Hansler, renamed by De Telegraaf as the ‘mother-in-law’ of SBS 6. She comes across on television as a very gloomy person who controls her son in an extremely unhealthy way. It seems to be something psychological and that of course makes the situation a bit more sensitive.
Tineke refuses
For that reason, Tineke Schouten does not want to make Monique a character. “I once asked Tineke Schouten: ‘Is this a type for you, that Monique?’” says Privé star journalist Jan Uriot in the podcast Strictly Private.
What was the comedienne’s response? “Well, then she said: ‘Well, I’m not going to do that, because I feel a bit sorry for that lady. I think she’s a bit sad.’ That is of course also a side that you can see, because that lady, there is something about her that does not completely match the rest of course.”
Psychologists
Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden thinks Tineke has a point. “She is fodder for psychologists, this woman.”
Jan: “I really think she should go on the sofa now.”
Should there be a second season of the Hansler soap? “I wouldn’t do it,” says Jordi. “We know now. We know how she reacts. I don’t think it will last as long as the Meilandjes. Before you know it, there will be a new character in Winter Vol Liefde.”
