Are you also annoyed by cigarette butts, cans and snack packaging on the street? Of course you can think, I didn’t put it there, so I don’t have to clean it up. But then little will change. Just grab the waste peg and get started. Then you will not only get a good workout, but also get rid of your annoyance. There will soon be a cleaning challenge in Zoetermeer.

The municipality of Zoetermeer wants a clean city, so that is why it is organizing a cleaning challenge. On Friday, October 10, local residents, volunteers, schools and companies will set out to clean up the city within one day. This also allows you to raise money for a good cause.

Take selfies for a good cause

With your clean-up campaign you not only keep your own living environment tidy, you also raise money for a good cause. Through the Rubizz app take photos of your clean-up campaign. Each photo submitted yields 11 euro cents for a charity of your choice. These can be national initiatives, but schools in Zoetermeer have also been selected as charities.

This is how you participate in the cleaning challenge

Don’t think and just participate. Go out alone, with a friend or with your mother, with your sports club or neighbors and register online for the cleaning challenge. No time or desire for such a challenge? Then just tidy up your own front garden or street every now and then. Looks a lot better!
