The police arrested three men in Bergen op Zoom on Sunday evening who tried to steal a few Fatbikes. Thanks to an attentive reporter who caught the thieves in the act, the police managed to pick up the thieves within five minutes.
The theft happened around eleven in the evening. On the Jacob Obrechtlaan the witness saw how the men took the bikes by lifting the back.
He immediately alerted the police. Agents rushed out and found the suspects a few minutes later on their way towards the station.
They were stopped and arrested on suspicion of theft. It concerns two men aged 19 and 21 from Vlissingen and a 23-year-old man from Goes.
The stolen Fatbikes are now back with the rightful owners.
