The accident happened just after 8 p.m. A spokesperson says that two cars collided head-on. There were two people in one of the cars, and one person in the other.
This driver became trapped and was freed by emergency services. An air ambulance was also on its way around 8:30 p.m.

There was a dog in one of the cars and the animal ambulance was on its way around 8:30 PM to save the animal. The Traffic Accident Analysis department is investigating how the accident could have happened.
The damage is enormous, at least one of the cars is a total loss. The road is littered with debris and emergency services are present in large numbers. The road is closed to all traffic between the N504 and Warmenhuizerweg while the police are still busy.
Just before 9:30 p.m., the spokesperson announced that the road will be open again ‘in the foreseeable future’ because the investigation has been completed.
