Three German mountain climbers have died in an avalanche in South Tyrol. According to the Italian rescue service, their group was hit by an avalanche during a climb in the Ortler Alps on Sunday afternoon. Two other mountain climbers, also German, are still missing. The search for the two was halted on Sunday evening due to darkness and is expected to resume on Monday.
