The fire brigade had to extinguish a fire in a clothing container in Assen three times in a row last night.
The first report came in around a quarter past one. A textile container on the Hoogspanningsweg in Kloosterveen was on fire. The fire brigade broke open the container and managed to extinguish the fire.
Less than half an hour later, the incident happened a little further down the Maasstraat. A similar collection container had caught fire, causing large clouds of smoke. After this fire had also been extinguished, the third report came in. It came from Marsdijk, because a container was also on fire at Kleuvenstee.
The police are investigating who is behind the fires.
