Three people died in the night from Wednesday to Thursday in The Hague after a police chase. that reports the Public Prosecution Service (OM). One person was injured. Nothing is yet known about the identities of the dead and injured.
The four were in a car that the police wanted to check because of “remarkable driving behavior”, the Public Prosecution Service writes. The officers signaled a stop around 4:40 a.m., but this was not complied with.
After a “short pursuit,” the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle came to a halt against a tree on the Bezuidenhoutseweg, which runs along the Haagse Bos, after which it caught fire.
Because the accident occurred after a police chase, the National Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the incident.
