In Assen, three cars were damaged by fire last night. Two vehicles on the Zuidersingel went up completely in flames, while a third car on the Zuidhaege could be extinguished by the fire brigade on time.
How the fires were created is still unclear, but arson is not excluded. The cars on the Zuidersingel were on fire separately, which strengthens the suspicions. There are also suspicious circumstances with the car on the Zuidhaege. The police have taken an object for an investigation there.
Recently there are more car fires in Assen, where a clear cause is not always found.
