An arrest team arrested an 18-year-old man on Wednesday evening who is suspected of a number of armed robberies, in which shots were fired each time. Gas stations and a tobacco shop in Roosendaal were targeted in recent weeks. The police tracked down the man through tips that came in after the broadcasts of Bureau Brabant and Opsporing Requested.
The man lives in Roosendaal, but an arrest team picked him up in the evening in a house in which he did not live.
Shoot
The shooting robber struck at least three times in the city. He always did this at the beginning of the evening, between six and eight o’clock.
- The series started on Wednesday, November 16 at a tobacconist’s shop on Kroevenlaan.
- Monday, November 21, a gas station on the Vijfhuizenberg was targeted.
- The last in the series was a gas station on the Antwerpseweg on Saturday 26 November.
He shot in all three robberies. The police always found remains of bullets. The question is whether the man always fired on purpose. In at least one of those moments, the gun seems to go off accidentally. His loot consisted of some money and cigarettes.
