Iran is once again facing a wave of large-scale protests, bringing together economic desperation and political anger. Shops are closing their doors en masse, spontaneous demonstrations are flaring up and in several places there are fierce confrontations between demonstrators and security forces. The most powerful slogan sounds everywhere: ‘Not Gaza, not Lebanon, I sacrifice my life for Iran.’
