Thomas Tousseyn new chairman Cercle Brugge

Tousseyn was still active for the Association as a youth player. He joined the Board of Directors in 2013 as the youngest director at the time and in recent years has been closely involved in, among other things, the stadium dossier and the takeover by AS Monaco.

He represented Cercle in the past in the General Assembly of the Pro League and currently still does so in the General Assembly of the Belgian Football Association (RBFA).

“Greatest Honor”

Professionally, Tousseyn is active at the Universitaires Hospitals in Leuven as a specialist in Pathological Anatomy, where he diagnoses lymphoma and leukaemia. “As a Cercle supporter, it is the greatest honor to be able to represent Cercle as chairman,” Tousseyn said in a response to the club website.

“I would therefore like to thank my fellow directors, all shareholders of Cercle and AS Monaco for the confidence they have shown. Also a special word of thanks to all employees, volunteers, non-profit organization members and supporters with whom I have shared my passion in recent years. experience. I look forward to drawing the outlines with you for a successful future for our beloved Cercle. I plan to build on what I learned from Vincent (Goemaere, ed.), Frans (Schotte, ed.) and Paul (Vanhaecke, ed.), the 3 Cercle chairmen with whom I was able to work. I have enormous confidence in the competences of the entire team at Cercle and I will be there for them, at least where possible, maximum where necessary.”
