With a civil 2-0 win, the German record champion heralded not only the championship celebration in the Allianz Arena, but also the farewell to Thomas Müller. The Bayern veteran played his last home game in the club’s jersey.
Therefore, the 35-year-old did not miss the opportunity to announce one of the Bayern newcomers who celebrated their first title in Munich, with the tradition of the beer shower. In order to catch the nimble newcomer from Crystal Palace, Müller had to come together with João Palhinha (also a new addition) and Serge Gnabry.
On a video that FC Bayern spread on social media, it can be seen how Müller sneaks up to Olise from behind, while he is looking casually with sunglasses for a photo. Müller posts himself directly behind the 23-year-old by Olise, while Palhinha and Gnabry approach the wheat beer glasses from the front.
When Olise recognizes the danger and turns around to run away, he is then surprised by Müller, who quickly takes him into the brackets. There is no escape for Olise. Palhinha and Gnabry strike and shower him with the beer.
At first Olise looks little impressed by the campaign, but recovers quickly. Later he celebrates with his teammates and even distributes one or the other wheat beer shower.
