A few days after his last game for FC Bayern, Thomas Müller spoke up again. The world champion finally said goodbye.

Since last Saturday, Thomas Müller has not been a player from FC Bayern Munich. The 0-2 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain at the club World Cup was the last game of the original Bavarian for his heart club. Now he has turned to his fans again on Instagram. “Hey guys, one last bye for my training ground, to my changing room. It was a pleasure for me, it was an honor for me to play for Bavaria,” said Müller.

During his video message, the 35-year-old was on the FC Bayern training campus on Säbener Strasse. He added: “Now it’s time for a new chapter in my life. I am happy what I was able to experience. I am happy how many people I met in the football world. It’s time to say goodbye.”

How this new chapter looks in his life – whether he continues to play football or ends his active career – Müller left it open. He has been active at Bayern since 2000, and he played in the first men’s team since 2009. Since then he has won numerous titles with the German record champion.
