Dubai chocolate, the sweet with pistachio cream, has now become a trendsetter among those with a sweet tooth. However, Thomas Gottschalk sees it completely differently. As he revealed in a 50-minute conversation with Mike Krüger, he doesn’t like the chocolate.
Gottschalk finds the chocolate too bitter
In an episode of their joint podcast “The supernosesOn December 17th, Gottschalk said: “I don’t understand all the hype.” He continued: “We were given a Dubai chocolate from some agency, but it was pretty bitter. I don’t understand the hype with this pistachio stuff.”
The “pistachio stuff” is a chocolate bar with a filling of pistachios and kadaifi – so-called “angel hair”, a sweet pastry from the Balkan-Levantine region. The hype in 2024 took place primarily in the German social media space.
That’s it for “The Supernoses”
As was already announced in November 2024, the two entertainers will also finally end their podcast at the end of the year. The final episode “We say goodbye!” on December 17th is finally over. As a farewell, the former “Wetten, dass…?” presenter appealed: “At a time when there is nothing else to laugh about, you had us for a long time. Now please laugh without us. But definitely laugh.”
According to reports from “Bild”, Gottschalk and Krüger consciously decided to say goodbye. The reason: They are fed up with being misunderstood again and again. So many would try to spin them out of their statements.
Body shaming campaign against Maite Kelly
The Bamberg native previously triggered a wave of outrage with a comment about singer Maite Kelly. Apparently affected by the fear of losing recognition, the 1.92 man said to Krüger in a “The Supernose” episode in November: “I probably have to push Maite Kelly aside so that people can see me.” Gottschalk was probably playing on that The figure of the 44-year-old, who has repeatedly been commented on in the tabloid media for years.
