Mbuyamba moved from Chelsea’s youth academy to Chelsea in the summer of 2022 New Orange. The defender was an important force for the Volendam team in his first season, but played less often in 2023/24.
At the beginning of this year, Mbuyamba was diagnosed with a heart rhythm disorder during a medical examination. That’s why he plays with an ICD box.
Since arriving in the fishing village, Mbuyamba has played 57 matches, scoring eight times and providing two assists. One of his highlights at Volendam will undoubtedly be winning the period title last Friday. NH Sport spoke to him after the match against Excelsior.
