1. FC Heidenheim 1846 has secured another top performer in Denis Thomalla. As the second in the Bundesliga announced, the expiring contract with the 30-year-old offensive all-rounder has been extended until 2025. Thomalla has been playing for FCH since January 2016, only Norman Theuerkauf (36) and Kevin Müller (30), who came to the club in 2015, have been in coach Frank Schmidt’s team longer.

So far this season, Thomalla has scored six goals and provided five assists to his team’s success. Most recently, he had to sit out two games due to a red suspension in the 1-1 draw against Fortuna Düsseldorf.
