The fashion brand Thom Browne is faced with a change of leadership. On Wednesday, the parent company Ermenegildo Zegna NV announced that Rodrigo Bazan will resign from his post as CEO of the label on August 31. Bazan, who has headed Thom Browne since 2016, wanted to devote himself to a new opportunity, it said.

The group of companies has already found one successor: On September 2, Sam Lobban is to take over the executive chair at Thom Browne. The British manager comes from the American trading group Nordstrom Inc., in which he most recently worked as an executive Vice President and General Merchandising Manager for Apparel Designer.

In this function, Lobban organized numerous collaborations with designer brands, including Thom Browne, according to his future employer. He had started his career at the British retailer Selfridges, and later he belonged to the founding team of the online fashion platform MR Porter.

CEO Gildo Zegna welcomed the designated newcomer. “I am pleased to welcome Sam. His well -recognized customer -oriented way of thinking and his innovative approach in the field of merchandising will be extremely valuable in order to speed up the Thom Browne brand growth -oriented waxation trip,” he said in a statement.

Designer Thom Browne also recognized the future managing director of his label of the same name. “I am very happy to welcome Sam in a new chapter of our trip,” he said. “His profound understanding of the distinctive DNA of our brand and its visionary approach makes him the ideal partner to help shape the future of our brand.”
