Arjen Lubach gets an ice-cold washcloth thrown in his face by Jordi Versteegden, the brutal star reporter of De Telegraaf. He rebukes him just as well: “This does not suit you!”
It’s a good thing that our celebrities were able to relax during the summer holidays, because they are currently running hysterically across the Media Park. One makes a call for the camera, the other is in his break posting begging stories on Instagram and a few even hire recruiters: the battle for the Televizier-Ring has started.
Lubach is angry
That somewhat grotesque Ring really brings out the worst in the stars. Even the most down-to-earth presenters suddenly start begging for votes. Who is unfortunately not allowed to participate? Arjen Lubach with his daily evening show. And he speaks loudly about that.
Telegraaf star Jordi Versteegden in his podcast Strictly Private: “Arjen Lubach, I want to talk about that. He is a bit angry with the organization of the Gouden Televizier Ring. He should not be nominated with his daily talk show that he now of course makes. Are one man show.”
‘So sensitive’
Private boss Evert Santegoeds thinks it makes sense. “Because it is too similar to that other program (Zondag met Lubach, ed.). Yes, but we have of course already seen that at VI. If you suddenly start naming your program differently, but the formula hardly changes, then yes, you cannot win the Televizier-Ring twice.”
Evert does not understand why Arjen is so dramatic about this. “I didn’t know he was so sensitive about television prices because he pretends it doesn’t interest him very much.”
‘Doesn’t suit him’
Jordi advises Arjen to stop this crazy behavior quickly. “I mean, I don’t really like him very much either. We already had that whole fuss last year. Then I think: dude, and on. And what does that price matter? There are 2 million people watching your program, or something like that. So he doesn’t need a prize, I guess, right?
Evert: “I think the prize is the viewing figures that Tina Nijkamp will resurface.”
