Detroit Red Wings forward David Perron has been banned for six games after hitting an opponent in the face with a cross stick.

This is the NHL’s longest suspension from rink incidents this season.

Perron’s outrageous trick happened over the weekend in the game between Detroit and the Ottawa Senators. The Canadian straightened up when Mathieu Joseph fisted Dylan Larkin with a transverse club to the neck.

Perron randomly attacked the first Ottawa player he came across. This happened to be Artjom Zub, who had neither the part nor the lot to execute Larkin.

Larkin was left lying scary looking on the ice, but left the rink on his own two feet.

Maccelli was dazzled

Arizona Coyotes’ Matias Maccelli, who served, was responsible for the best Finnish performance in Tuesday night’s NHL round To Michael Carcone tasty goal assist.

Maccelli outwitted the entire Buffalo Sabers defense and turned the puck like a blind man to the back post, where Carcone was waiting.

The commentator of the match went crazy with the performance.

– Look at this movement! Maccelli said to the others: “Follow me boys, I’ll take everything on my back”.

The Finns of the Dallas Stars gathered strong performances against Detroit. In the match that ended with a 6–3 win, Miro Heiskanen scored 2+1, Esa Lindelli 1+1, Roope Hintz 0+2 and Also for Jani Hakanpää 0+1.

Toronto Maple Leafs star John Tavares reached 1,000 NHL points fittingly in the home cave of his old team, the New York Islanders.

The thousandth point was an assist to Morgan Rielly’s 3-3 equalizer just seven seconds before the final buzzer. The Islanders won the game in overtime.
