That’s what they are

According to Posti, messages may contain Posti’s logo, colors or other illustrations.

The most common scam messages are SMS or email scams.

The contents of scam messages vary by Posti. They often tell about a shipment that has arrived, a prize won, or an unpaid shipping fee.

A text message scam can arrive on the phone in the same message thread and as if from the same sender as genuine arrival notification messages.

Some scam messages contain a real Posti tracking number. The scam message informs about a package that has arrived at Helsinki Central Station and asks to confirm the delivery address in order to receive it. The message redirects to a website where you are asked to make a payment.

If you are not expecting a package or if you doubt the notification you received, you can check with Posti’s customer service.

Posti does not use Apple ID identification upon arrival of a parcel shipment, so if you ask for that identification, it is identity fishing.
