This is the opinion of ordinary Swedes about Käärijja and Loreen: Annika feels sorry for Finland

The final result of Eurovision has aroused a lot of emotions in Sweden. We asked people in Uppsala what the afterlife is like now.

The group of Swedish girls thought this year’s songs were better than before, because the songs were different and the performances were funnier. Their favorite was Cyprus, but also Israel and Finland.

– The Finnish song is easy to sing along to. The song sticks in my mind, as does the performer’s outfit, he says Agnes Tima.

The group agrees on this: Kääriä’s performance was better than the song.

– It was so much fun, says Enli Asmar.

They liked Loreen and would have voted for her if they could have voted for their own country. They consider profit to be fair.

– But I wouldn’t have been angry if Finland had won. The world seemed to love him, says Tima.

The Lord changed the style of the sages

Also Annika Pettersson uses the word “fair” for Loreen’s win.

– And the victory came to the Nordic countries. I’m still happy about Finland’s ranking this year, because Finland has so often been at the very bottom. It’s a shame, says Pettersson.

Daughter Body continue:

– Loreen’s song was not very unique, but still winning material.

Both Petterssons were at work on Friday night. Fortunately, they saw the broadcast afterwards, but they didn’t get to vote. Annika’s vote would have gone to Finland, Elin is unsure.

Annika is happy that the songs include more different musical styles than before.

– I believe that Lord’s victory had an effect on that, he says.

Nails like a witch

Born in Turku Margaretha Westergård has lived in Sweden for a long time. He watched the final broadcast with his grandchildren, as they usually do.

– Yes, we watched it from beginning to end. I think Eurovision is nowadays too much about the show and too little about the song itself. I didn’t really like any of the songs, Westergård says.

Finland’s performance was not exactly to his liking either.

– But I still want Finland to always win. The Swedes will be unnecessarily proud of the victory.

Westergård liked Sweden’s performance even less. He points out Loreen’s long nails, which were “like a witch’s”.

Westergård’s favorite singer from past years is Carola from Sweden, who has represented Sweden at Eurovision three times. The victory came in 1991 with a song Fångad av en stormvind and it is Westergård’s favorite of all Eurovision songs.

Kazem Ghassemi liked the representatives and songs of both Finland and Sweden. Anni Emilia Alentola

Jump like a monkey

Kazem Ghassemi liked the representatives and songs of both Finland and Sweden. He has a little Finnish background: he has previously dated a Finnish woman and knows a little Finnish himself.

– The Finn sang well, fantastically. Loreen, on the other hand, has a very strong voice, she describes.

Ghassemi believed that Finland would win.

– He is very skilled. Even in the show, he jumped up and down like a monkey, Ghassemi says and means this only as a positive comment.
