The artist denied committing the crime to Iltalehti through his representative in an email.

The musician originally became known to Finns from the band Lauri Tähkä and Elonkerjuu, where Lauri Tähkä worked as a soloist from 2006 to 2010. Since 2011, the musician has created a solo career as Lauri Tähkä. The most famous songs of his solo career include, among others Burning water and Burning.

In 2020, Lauri Tähkä received the first Emmas of his solo career.
