The last Bundesliga matchday of the year begins with an exciting duel. FC Bayern welcomes RB Leipzig.

FC Bayern will take on RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Friday evening (from 8:30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online) and want to continue an impressive series. Since a 3-1 defeat against Borussia Dortmund in November 1987, the German record champions have not lost their last Bundesliga home game of the year. Particularly impressive: Bayern have always won this game in the past eleven years.

Also in the squad is star striker Harry Kane, who is ready for action again after a torn muscle fiber and is also in the starting line-up.

Full-back Alphonso Davies has also recovered from his muscle injury and is available from the start, while defender Dayot Upamecano is also ready again after his break at FSV Mainz 05 (1:2). Serge Gnabry, who was sidelined due to knee problems, is not in the squad despite Kompany’s prognosis.

In Mainz, Kompany was missing seven other players alongside Kane. Against Leipzig he will have to do without seven professionals: Gnabry, goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman, Hiroki Ito, Josip Stanisic, Joao Palhinha and Sacha Boey.
