The President of the Republic Alexander Stubb and his wife Suzanne Innes-Stubb revealed their Christmas plans on Independence Day in an interview with Yle.
The question about the presidential couple’s Christmas had come from a viewer.
The couple plans to spend Christmas with their family. Innes-Stubb tellsthat his family is coming from England to Finland.
– [Jouluaattona] On the 24th we eat Finnish Christmas food and [joulupäivänä] On the 25th, we eat British Christmas food, President Stubb says.
The presidential couple does not have to wait until Christmas to spend time with their relatives. Innes-Stubb’s sister is visiting Finland.
– My sister is here. We’ll probably spend the day together, says Innes-Stubb.
The children of the presidential couple are also included Emilie Stubb24, and Oliver Stubb21. Plans include at least brunch.
– We have the whole poppoo here in Finland now, i.e. both children and their spouses. We’ll probably spend time with them, let’s have a quiet Sunday, says Stubb.
The couple’s children were seen at the Presidential Palace on Independence Day. They watched the handshakes from the loft of the Atrium Hall.
