This is how the move to the iPhone works – TECHBOOK

Switching from an Android smartphone to an iPhone seems like a complicated undertaking at first. With the help of a practical tool, the switch is very easy.

In the early days of iOS and Android, it was difficult to switch to iPhone. In the meantime, the switch is quite easy and most of the data, settings and files can be taken with you. TECHBOOK explains how this works and what to look out for.

Migrate Android smartphone to iPhone

If you switch from an Android smartphone to an iPhone, you not only change the device, but also the entire operating system. Thankfully, Apple offers a handy app to make the switch easier: “Transfer to iOS“. This is available for smartphones running at least Android 6.

Here you can see in the video how the move from Android smartphone to iPhone works:

preparation

Before the move, all apps on the Android smartphone should be up to date. It is also important to back up all data via the Google account again. In addition, the iPhone should also offer enough storage space for all apps and files that are on the Android smartphone. Both devices should be connected to power.

Step 1

The first step begins with the initial setup of the new iPhone. For quick start on iPhone, click Configure manually and select “Transfer data from Android” under Apps and data.

2nd step

If you haven’t already done so, download the “Transfer to iOS” app from the Play Store now. Open the app and follow the instructions and grant the required permissions. Once this is done, a one-time code will appear on the iPhone. This is either 6 or 10 numbers long. Enter the code on the Android smartphone.

3rd step

The iPhone creates a temporary Wifi network to which you need to connect the Android smartphone. On the Android device, select the content to transfer. Options include things like contacts, messages, photos and files, email, calendar, and even the WhatsApp account. You can also transfer the apps as long as they are available in the App Store and are free of charge. You have to buy paid apps again on the iPhone. Now stop using both smartphones until the transfer is complete.

By the way: “Move to iOS” can also be used on tablets, so it is also possible to transfer from an Android tablet to an iPad.
