On the race-free weekend between the Mexico City Grand Prix and the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, some Formula 1 drivers took the opportunity to celebrate Halloween – others preferred to spend the time with their loved ones.

From Lando Norris’ MotoGP-inspired fairing to Yuki Tsunoda’s subtle homage to Racing Bulls teammate Liam Lawson to Charles Leclerc’s big engagement announcement: this is how the Formula 1 stars spent the break before the final four races of the 2025 season.

Lando Norris

Lando Norris, the current world championship leader, dressed up as the French MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo – including the basketball-inspired helmet that the McLaren driver had already worn at the 2022 Miami Grand Prix.

Oscar Piastri

Norris’ McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri preferred to use the free time for training on the simulator. “In my usual hiding place,” he wrote on social media.

Max Verstappen

Four-time world champion Max Verstappen also skipped Halloween parties and instead celebrated his five-year anniversary with Kelly Piquet.

She shared: “There aren’t enough slides to show all the best moments from the last five years. So here’s one of our latest – at one of our favorite meals, at our happiest, and dreaming of the next fifty.”

Yuki Tsunoda

Verstappen’s Japanese teammate Yuki Tsunoda was apparently inspired by his former Racing Bulls teammate Liam Lawson and chose a country music look for Halloween.

Charles Leclerc

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc skipped Halloween himself, but shared even bigger news: he got engaged to his long-time partner Alexandra Saint Mleux.

Liam Lawson

Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson and his girlfriend Hannah St John opted for a partner look in the style of the film “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby”. The couple attended the 2025 NASCAR finale at Phoenix Raceway in the USA in these outfits – and attracted plenty of attention there.
