This is how much a child costs: large-scale research maps what the average Flemish family spends on children

A Flemish family with one or more children spends an average of 1,179 euros per month on their offspring. This is evident from a large-scale survey of almost 4,000 households. This means that the cost of children has increased by more than a quarter in five years. Where does most of the money go? What are the most expensive months? And does an additional child cost more or less?
