Depeche Mode are on tour again! On Thursday (March 23) the world tour kicked off, on which the band will present their new album “Memento Mori”.
In front of just over 20,000 people at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, the Brits played 23 songs, including five from the new record (setlist, pictures and videos can be found HERE). Most important question of the evening: How would Depeche Mode commemorate their late bandmate Andy Fletcher?
As previously announced, Fletch’s seat on stage remained empty. Dave Gahan and Martin Gore were joined by Peter Gordeno (keyboards and bass) and Christian Eigner (drums).

In the two hours, there wasn’t a separate part that was entirely dedicated to Fletcher, but “World In My Eyes” became a great memory. A picture of Fletcher from his early years with the band was superimposed on the track – to thunderous cheers from the fans.
