The actress is currently taking care of those affected together with her son Knox.

22,000 hectares of scorched earth, 105,000 people evacuated, 12,000 destroyed buildings and 26 dead: devastating fires have been raging in Los Angeles since Tuesday, January 7th. Many volunteers come together to help those affected by the disaster. One of these helpers: Angelina Jolie.

Angelina Jolie has opened her house to her loved ones

The US actress appeared tense as they sat together outside a supermarket on Thursday evening, January 9 photographed with her son Knox became. Together they heaved kilos of supplies into a car, as “TMZ” reported, and the mimin then asked a few questions. When asked whether she was worried about the fires in Los Angeles, California, the 49-year-old immediately answered in the affirmative and then said that she was currently sheltering people in need in her own home in Los Angeles. She made it clear that her main concern at the moment would be her loved ones.

While the 49-year-old continued to load up groceries, TMZ also asked her if she planned to donate. “I will,” the California native probably replied. And further: “But at the moment I am taking care of the people who are close to me and have them at home with me.” However, she did not say who she meant specifically by that.

Particularly affected: Pacific Palisades and Eaton

Jolie’s property is located in Los Feliz, a more centrally located district of the metropolis and therefore far enough away from the fires that are currently raging in the west and north of the city. In particular, the Pacific Palisades district (which is known for its countless A-list residents, such as Tom Hanks and Jamie Lee Curtis) and Eaton Canyon, just outside Pasadena, have been severely affected by the flames. The fire in Eaton is 27 percent under control (as of January 13, 2 p.m.), while the fires in Palisades have only been brought under control to just under eleven percent. According to the BBC, the damage caused by the fires so far is estimated at $132.4 billion.
