King Charles of Great Britain will be crowned on May 6. Queen consort Camilla will also wear the same crown.
The British newspaper Mirror has now compiled the list about the things that can probably be expected from the upcoming holiday.
Participants
The king’s family will be represented at the event. For example, Prince George, 9, will play a big role in the coronation. George will eventually inherit the crown for himself.
Camilla’s grandchildren, rarely seen in public, will also be part of the event. Camilla’s son With Tom have two children: Lola15, and Freddy13. With Camilla’s daughter With Laura again there are three children: Eliza15, and twins Louis and Gus13.

It is still unclear whether the king’s son Prince Harry and his spouse Meghan Markle will attend the coronation. The prince has been on bad terms with his father since he decided to leave the UK and royal life behind a few years ago. However, they are believed to receive an official invitation.
Drawing up the invitation list will largely be in the hands of the palace. Downing Street and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also participate in the implementation in close cooperation.
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco are the first non-UK royals to announce they will attend the coronation.
More than 8,000 guests were once invited to Queen Elizabeth’s coronation. According to information from the Mirror, just over 2,000 people will attend Charles’ coronation.

Program
According to the Mirror, the king and queen consort will not be using a golden horse-drawn carriage to travel from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey for the coronation. The last time the cart was used was at the Queen’s Platinum Party last year.
The two are believed to only use the carriage when they return from church as they drive through town greeting citizens.
A celebratory concert will be organized in Windsor Castle, the organization of which has had enough bad luck. According to the magazine, many leading artists have had to refuse to perform at the historic concert due to their busy schedule. Among the blocked artists are Ed Sheeran, Adele, Robbie Williams, Elton John and the Spice Girls.
One tradition at stake is the presentation of gold to the new ruler. When Queen Elizabeth was crowned in 1953, she was given a gold bar. It is believed that due to the current economic situation, the tradition may be abandoned. The Court of Claim, the court used at the time of coronations, is also expected to disappear.
The Mirror believes that one of the surviving traditions will be the anointing of the king, which has religious significance.
Queen Elizabeth’s coronation was watched by about 27 million people around the world. Charles’ coronation is expected to be more low-key than his mother’s. The Mirror speculates that the coronation could only last an hour this time and not more than three hours. It is believed that shortening the program will also be more meaningful for television viewers.
