Delta Galil brings in former Macy’s manager Mark Stocker

The Israeli textile group Delta Galil Industries Ltd. has appointed Mark Stocker as President, Delta Galil Branded Division. Stocker took over the post on January 30 and will in future in particular promote the US business of licensed collections in the women’s and nightwear and children’s clothing categories, the parent company of the German underwear supplier Schiesser said last Wednesday.

In his new function, the newcomer is responsible for the development, marketing and sales of women’s and children’s products from Adidas, Calvin Klein Kids, Lauren Ralph Lauren, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Wolford, which Delta Galil manufactures under license partnerships. He is also responsible for the group’s own brand PJ Salvage.

Stocker spent more than 15 years of his career at the US retail group Macy’s Inc. There he held various management positions and was most recently Executive Vice President, General Business Manager Apparel, responsible for the orientation of the clothing range. Prior to joining Delta Galil, he served as President and Chief Merchandising Officer at retailer Saadia Group, which owns department store chain Lord & Taylor, among others.
