Thilo Kehrer probably also before Paris Saint-German – after Julian Draxler

The squad planning for the French star ensemble is progressing. Now the signs are also pointing to separation for the second German national player.

As with Julian Draxler, there are now increasing signs of Thilo Kehrer saying goodbye to French football champions Paris Saint-Germain. After returning from a trip to Japan, the defender belonged to a group of players who no longer took part in regular team training on Thursday, reported the newspaper “Le Parisien” and then the broadcaster RMC Sport.

In addition to the German internationals Draxler and Kehrer, four other professionals are said to be among the players who keep fit separately and are therefore candidates for an early transfer. Draxler had recently stopped making the trip to Japan. It was initially unclear whether the new coach Christophe Galtier would do without the German duo in the Supercup game against FC Nantes on Sunday evening in Tel Aviv. Both need match practice to qualify for a call-up for the World Cup in Qatar in the autumn.

Kehrer has been playing for the ambitious club from Paris for four years and still has a contract that runs until 2023. Sevilla FC is mentioned as a possible new club for the 25-year-old in media speculation from Spain. Draxler came to PSG from VfL Wolfsburg in early 2017, the 28-year-old’s contract runs until 2024. Newcastle United are said to be interested in a commitment.
