Thijs Römer, who has been canceled due to sexual offenses with underage girls, was present at the Ademnood concert of his ex-lover Katja Schuurman last night. “This is striking.”
Babette van Veen and Katja Schuurman were in the Afas Live in recent evenings with their sing-along party Ademnood. There was also a guest appearance by Sammie (15), the daughter of Katja and her ex-lover Thijs Römer. “What is our surprise? Her father, again not so surprising, sat proudly in the grandstand of Afas,” says Bart Ettekoven.
Never in public
Show expert Bart then lets in Show news see the images of Thijs in the grandstand. “You see Thijs sitting there in the middle and that in itself is striking, because he has of course been discredited and cancelled, as we call it.”
He continues: “We actually never see him in public anymore. He will just do his shopping somewhere, of course, but not in places where a lot of people gather and where there are a lot of cameras.”
VIP balcony
Patty Brard says she was very close to the infamous Thijs. “I must say that yesterday I was sitting on that same VIP balcony and what I find very sweet is that he is standing between Katja’s parents and proudly looking at his daughter, who is there stealing the show for a moment with Trijntje Oosterhuis, as if it is nothing at all.”
She continues: “I also like to see that Katja’s parents are also very aware that he is the father and that they embrace him in this role.”
Dead quiet
What is Thijs doing these days? Still not much. Acting jobs are not exactly up for grabs for him. Bart: “We last heard from him in March about the fact that he could not pay compensation to those victims. I believe it was 13,000 euros at the time.”
He concludes: “It is of course really quiet around Thijs himself.”
