Frits Wester, the political reporter for RTL Nieuws, makes a special revelation in Nieuwe Revu. The journalist reveals that he almost had Thierry Baudet under his car recently. Not because he had once again looked too deeply into the glass, but because the politician crossed the road without paying attention.

It was all close, Frits tells the magazine. “He recently crossed the road near the House of Representatives without looking out. I just managed to avoid him, I almost had him under my car. We laughed so hard about that.”
The men do not have much contact with each other. “I personally know one MP better than the other, but Thierry is not someone you can easily start a conversation with about your hobbies or about your holiday. We know each other and we always say hello to each other; well I do not know him.”

The relationship between the gentlemen is professional. “He had gold in his hands at the time, he threw it away. During the campaign period of 2017, I had a lively discussion with him at Pauw & Jinek. After that we always continued to greet each other and we get along well.”
